She is the Director of Generation Green Billerica, a program that was started by Leap Eco Solutions, LLC and Billerica.org to assist businesses in Billerica in becoming more environmentally aware of their business operational procedures. Leap Eco Solutions, LLC will assess these procedures with the owner/manager and show them how to move towards reducing their company waste and becoming a more envionmentally conscience business within the Town of Billerica.
Leap Eco Solutions, LLC works with companies of all sizes to help them design and implement sustainable business practices to reduce waste, save money, and protect the environment.
Wanda Nordlie has developed an Eco-Circle® approach that helps those who are new to the idea, LEAP into being green, as well as those who want to take the next step towards sustainability.
Inspired by her work with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation in Connecticut, Wanda provides a way for companies to give back to their communities by donating a tree in the company name in return for a commitment to sustainability.
"Some Native Americans believe that trees are sacred and they try to plant one for every one they cut down," Wanda explains. "In a small way, I want to emulate that philosophy in my own business practices."
